Welcome to the First Annual PugetSound ProAm Throw down at the Washington state fairgrounds Expo center. We invite anyone interested to compete in the Open Pro Class, you do not need to be a Pro.
Day before weigh ins 9:30a-11:30a, 1:30p -3:30p at the expo center
Day of weigh ins 7am-8am at Expo center
Day of Rules meeting starts at 8:30a
First event begins at 9:30a with novice divisions followed by masters, Open divisions then Pro class
Event 1 -Press Medley
You must successfully complete one rep on each Implement in order to move on to the next one. You must complete them in order Circus Dumbell, Barbell, Log. Once you complete all three you start back at circus dumbell and repeat them. each successful lift counts as a rep and will be scored based on most reps completed in 90 second. Grip shirts and chalk will be allowed.
Event 2- mystery event
Event 3 - Zercher Yoke carry/Farmers carry/Duck walk for 50’ each.
Zercher Yoke carry 50’, but no slides (2 sec slide penalty), Farmers carry 50’ , Duck Walk 50’. All implements will be on the end you start from. Unlimited drops for implements 90 sec cap. Chalk only allowed.
Event 4- Deadlift Max reps for 60 sec
Deadlift Max Reps for 60 secs, an up and down command will be given for each rep. No suits allowed, no sumo allowed. Chalk, straps, belts, sleeves are allowed. Deadlift socks strongly encouraged for sanitary purposes and keeping the event moving in a timely manner.
Event 5- Last Man Standing Atlas stone load over yoke.
Stones will start at 90lbs for women and make jumps 20-30lbs men’s stones will start at 165 and make 20-30lbs jumps. Athletes can jump in a make an attempt at the weight they choose and are not required to make all the jumps but if you fail at a weight you’re out. The athlete who completes the heaviest stone load wins. Women will load to 42” height and Men will load to 48”, there will be absolutely no tacky allowed for this event! Grip shirts, Stone sleeves, chalk and tacky towels are ok.
